SIRT5 and acute myeloid leukemia: Nevertheless, the mRNA expression of SIRT5 was significantly elevated in AML clinical samples (Figure 1d) compared to normal individuals, which was also similarly found in western blotting results (Figure 1f), indicating that the SIRT5 levels were significantly higher in AML patients; hence, it was speculated that SIRT5 was a key regulator during AML development.
