The cytokines increased in PN patients with high AEC included eotaxin, eotaxin-3, MCP-1, and MCP-4, which are all chemokines produced by endothelial cells that regulate eosinophil chemotaxis, though MCP-1 and MCP-4 also have actions on monocytes and T cells40–42. This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and poikiloderma with neutropenia.
