PTH and hypoparathyroidism: (26) compared 30 patients with hypoparathyroidism of non-surgical etiology with a group with pseudohypoparathyroidism, characterized by high levels of phosphate and PTH, and low levels of calcium, and found a higher pulse velocity in the hypoparathyroid group (p = 0.02) even after correcting for confounding factors, reinforcing the arterial stiffness of the first group, associated with a higher cardiovascular risk.
