The elevated level of SA-regulated PR1 expression also shown in this interaction in the cyp79B2 cyp79B3 double mutant would be rather related to the high increase in pathogen growth supported by this mutant background (Figure 6A), since this marker gene is also induced during pathogen infection with virulent isolates (Uknes et al., 1992; Rogers and Ausubel, 1997). The gene discussed is TMEM37; the disease is infection.
