Hyperphosphatemia familial tumoral calcinosis (HFTC) and hyperphosphatemia hyperostosis syndrome (HHS) are rare autosomal recessive disorders caused by mutations in the polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 3 (GALNT3), fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), or klotho (KL) genes.
