Reanalysis of the proteomic data from the discovery cohort of our previously published study [10] manifested a significant upregulation of three m6A writer enzymes, namely METTL3, METTL14, and METTL16, along with two cofactors, WTAP and RBM15B, in clinical ESCC tissues (Fig. 3F). This evidence concerns the gene WTAP and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
