Rho GTPases regulate multiple cellular processes, such as cytoskeletal reorganisation, cell migration, microtubule dynamics, signal transduction and gene expression,11 and there is a large body of evidence that activation of the RhoA/Rho kinase pathway plays a major role in various forms of CVD and acts as a convergent node in the pathogenesis of endothelial dysfunction.12, 13, 14. The gene discussed is RHOA; the disease is endothelial dysfunction.
