Similar to MPO-AAV, idiopathic double-positive AAV patients were older and had more severe anemia, lower Birmingham Vasculitis Activity Score (BVAS) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, less ear, nose, and throat (ENT) involvement, higher initial serum creatinine and a lower estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) when compared with PR3-AAV (P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene MPO and anemia (phenotype).
