FGF2 and Alzheimer disease: FGF2 is known to induce neoangiogenesis during tissue repair, tissue engineering and wound healing through stimulating the differentiation of AD-MSCs into endothelial cells (Mazini et al., 2020), or through enhancing the ingrowth of blood vessels by directly incorporating FGF2 in bioengineered scaffolds (Shahin et al., 2020).
