Transferrin saturation (TSAT) <20% was associated with higher 5-year all-cause mortality (HR: 3.49, CI: 1.40–8.72, P = 0.007), while ferritin <30 ng/ml was associated with higher 10-year (HR: 2.70, CI: 1.10–6.67, P = 0.031) and 15-year all-cause mortality (HR: 2.64, CI: 1.40–5.00, P = 0.003) in HF patients. Here, TF is linked to hydrops fetalis.
