Experimental PCOS rats showed a significant increase (p < 0.05) in testosterone and AMH with a corresponding decrease in 17-β estradiol and SHBG compared with control, and administration of SATE significantly improved the alterations in reproductive hormonal profile as shown in PCOS + SATE compared with untreated PCOS group (Fig. 1a–d). The gene discussed is AMH; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
