In recent years, cancer immunotherapy has been pursued through a myriad of approaches, including molecular targeted therapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors (such as PD-1/L1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors), adoptive cell immunotherapy (such as TIL, NK, CAR-T, CIK/DC-CIK), cytokine therapy, and tumour vaccines [2, 11–13].
