Progressive increased SAB expression is noted in the diet-induced progression of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH, new nomenclature of NASH), and dialing up the level of P-JNK in the liver directly correlates with the level of SAB (Win et al., 2019; Win et al., 2021). Here, SH3BP5 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
