Noteworthy, CD4/CD8 ratio < 1 at the tumor–host interface has prognostic value in triple-negative breast cancer [35]; we likewise found the mean CD4/CD8 ratio to be at 0.47, which was less than 1 and negatively associated with PLIN3 (Fig. 2n), indicating that patients with PLIN3high tumor had a poor outcome. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
