In this study, obesity-related traits (BMI, waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and waist-to-hip ratio adjusted for the body mass index (WHRadjBMI)) and lipidemic traits (high-density lipoprotein (HDL), LDL, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), apolipoprotein A1 (apoA1), apolipoprotein B (apoB), and apolipoprotein E (apoE)) were examined as exposures in the development of psoriasis. This evidence concerns the gene APOE and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
