To further validate such a positive correlation between ELAVL2 and potential target molecules at in vitro level, we performed RT-qPCR and showed that ELAVL2-high GBM cells (GBM14, U87MG, and U373MG) expressed CDH18, HMP19, DUSP26, SH3GL3, DNM3, BASP1, and REPS2 at significantly higher levels compared to ELAVL2-low GBM cells (Fig. 6c, Supplementary Fig. 8a). This evidence concerns the gene NSG2 and glioblastoma.
