Three types of kindlin family genes were significantly altered in 32 different cancer types, with FERMT1 being the major contributor (29%), followed by FERMT2 (the kindlin2 gene, 26%) and FERMT3 (the kindlin3 gene, 20%), for which the z score cutoff was ±1.96 (p < 0.05). Here, FERMT3 is linked to cancer.
