Overexpression of NUF2 is associated with a poor prognosis in ccRCC and can act as a potential oncogene to promote proliferation, migration, and invasion of ccRCC cells by affecting the recruitment of KDM2A to modulate the H3K36me2 modification in the promoter region, which can activate the transcription of HMGA2 through epigenetics [46]. This evidence concerns the gene HMGA2 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
