In the present cohort, no MerTK‐dependent survival difference was observed in patients who underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy (Figure 1L,M), and patients with a high expression of MerTK were more frequently nonresponders to neoadjuvant therapy (Becker response grade 3), indicating that high MerTK expression may attenuate the anti‐tumor effect of chemotherapeutic agents (Figure 5A). This evidence concerns the gene MERTK and neoplasm.
