Indeed, post-hoc analysis of OlyimpiAD (8), SOLO3 (49), and LIGHT (50) trials assessing olaparib in BRCA1/2 mutant breast cancers and recurrent platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer patients showed that 4% (N = 4/114) and 3% (N = 4/130) of patients with breast and ovarian cancers, respectively, already harbored BRCA1/2 reversion mutations before PARPi, despite a platinum-sensitive disease as defined with PFI (28). The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
