One group treated multiple CRC cell lines (HCT116, HT-29, KM12, SNU-1040, and DLD-1) and found that 5 μM sulforaphene was effective in reducing proliferation by arresting the cell cycle at the G2/M phase, upregulating the JNK pathway, inhibiting microtubule polymerization, and increasing intracellular reactive oxygen species. The gene discussed is MAPK8; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
