Chronic myeloid leukemia is a malignant myeloproliferative disease, mainly caused by a reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22 (9; 22) (q34; q11), resulting in the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph), and the corresponding BCR::ABL1 fusion gene, which is the main biomarker of this pathology [1,2]. This evidence concerns the gene ABL1 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
