SNAP-25 is a presynaptic component of the Soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor activating protein receptor (SNARE) complex, which is central to synaptic vesicle exocytosis processes at the presynaptic terminal and regulates postsynaptic receptor trafficking, spine morphogenesis, and plasticity, and reductions in SNAP-25 have been linked to intellectual impairments, psychiatric disorders, and ADD [23,24,25]. Here, SNAP25 is linked to Cognitive impairment.
