The results showed a significant decrease in Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (Acc1) (Figure 4A) and sterol regulatory element binding protein (SREBP) cleavage activating protein (Scap) at the mRNA level in AML12 transfected with FGF21/HGFR compared to the control group in the NAFLD state, and an upregulation of hepatocyte growth factor (Hgf), and Albumin (Figure 4B). This evidence concerns the gene ACACA and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
