In addition to these cytokines, MDC level ≥ 1271 pg/mL (OR = 1.9, 95% CI: 1.0–3.6, p = 0.04) and G-CSF ≥ 47.4 pg/mL (OR = 2.3, 95% CI: 1.0–5.0, p = 0.04) were significantly associated with increased breast cancer risk in the age > 50 years group only. This evidence concerns the gene CSF3 and breast carcinoma.
