The members of the sample have spent a median of 25 years of their lives with HIV infection, and 97.6% were following a cART regimen: in particular, the most common antiretroviral drugs taken were NRTIs (82.4%), followed by NtRTIs (71.4%), INIs (66.7%), NNRTIs (35.7%), and PIs (15.7%), while only 1.4% were taking CCR5 inhibitors. This evidence concerns the gene CCR5 and HIV infectious disease.
