Univariable correlation analysis showed that in the whole cohort (Table 3A) and in participants without HF (Table 3C), total ketone body levels were positively correlated with age, BMI, waist circumference, waist–hip ratio, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, history of T2D, use of ACE inhibitors, ARBs (in whole cohort) and UAE and inversely with eGFR. Here, ACE is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
