The normal-like human breast epithelial cell line, MCF-10F, after exposure to BPA, showed an increased expression of breast cancer genes BRCA1/2, BRCA1 associated RING domain 1 (BARD1), choline transporter-like protein (CtlP), RAD51 recombinase (RAD51), and BRCA1/2-containing complex subunit 3 (BRCC3), which are all involved in DNA repair, as well as the silencing of programmed cell death protein 5 (PDCD5) and Bcl-2-like 11 (BCL2L11 (BIM)), which are involved in apoptosis [164].
