The patients with the lowest CRP levels (<1.9 mg/L) had a significantly lower rate of recurrent AF within one year than the other groups (p = 0.01), and an elevated CRP was associated with recurrent AF during the follow-up (OR: 4.98; 95% CI: 1.75–14.26; p = 0.003) [25].
