GLP1R and polycystic ovary syndrome: In the second study, the authors observed that GLP-1 levels were similar in the PCOS and control subjects in the early phase of the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) up to 60 minutes, but that GLP-1 levels were significantly lower after 180 min, suggesting that women with PCOS may have decreased GLP-1 secretion in the late postprandial phase [106].
