Patients with COVID-19 had a significantly higher concentration of CRP (57.66 ± 19.9 vs. 9.05 ± 15.9, p < 0.001) and procalcitonin (0.64 ± 1.57 vs. 0.03 ± 0.04, p < 0.0019) compared to the control group of subjects (Figure 4). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is COVID-19.
