Worldwide, 5% to 10% of breast cancers (BCs), 10% to 15% of ovarian cancers, 4% to 7% of pancreatic cancers, 6% of patients with metastatic prostate cancer, and rarely other cancer-type cases originated from those carrying germline BRCA1/2 (gBRCA1/2) mutations [9]. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
