Upon testing the distribution of different B-cell subsets in a POAG patients’ cohort, there was a highly significant increase in the frequencies of DN B-cell subset (CD19+CD27−IgD−) and naïve B-cell subset (CD19+CD27−lgD+), while a significant decrease was seen in the unswitched memory B-cell subset (CD19+CD27+IgD+). This evidence concerns the gene CD27 and open-angle glaucoma.
