All the modified IgG-ELISAs with the local isolates gave positive results for all infected dogs, especially outer membrane protein (OMP)-based IgG-ELISAs that showed negative results for all dogs from non-endemic areas, demonstrating improved accuracy and reduced limitations over those of the standard MAT and providing an enhanced method for leptospirosis detection in the study area. This evidence concerns the gene OMP and leptospirosis.
