Some of the up-regulated proteins are known to be involved in cancer, such as retinoic acid-inducible G-protein coupled receptor (GPRC5C) [42] and Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor (ARHGEF2), involved in cell cycle regulation [43]; Myosin-2 (MYH2), involved in cytoskeleton organization [44]; and the scaffold protein Syntenin-1 (SDCBP), typical of fetal life, whose gain-of-function has been associated with poor tumor prognosis [45].
