Interestingly, 13 out of the 30 identified mRNAs in DSCCN (RNF145, CDKN2A, PLCG2, SOX10, TNFRSF11A, L3MBTL4, THRA, BBS10, ZFP36L2, SPNS2, RHOU, PER2, ANGPTL4) have recently been found to be associated with breast cancer. The gene discussed is ZFP36L2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
