ERBB2 and triple-negative breast carcinoma: In general, HER2-positive breast cancers usually have highly pleomorphic nuclei and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm compared to triple-negative breast cancers [1]; regarding ILC in this study, the pleomorphic subtype was more often HER2 enriched compared to triple negative (p > 0.01), but the triple-negative subtype was statistically significantly more often (33.3%, p = 0.006) in the pleomorphic subtype category compared to other molecular subtypes.
