In some studies, the higher frequency of luminal B subtypes, HER2-enriched and triple-negative subtypes can be explained by the fact that the analyzed ILCs were diagnosed in the higher stages (pT2, pT3 and pT4) in 58.17% of the cases, as well as by the fact that the progression of low-grade tumors to high-grade tumors primarily occurs in breast tumors that have a luminal phenotype [27,28]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is breast neoplasm.
