Reports that MRI is more useful for the diagnosis of multifocal ILC, as well as a higher number of false-positive results due to overestimation of the tumor size [4], may also be related to the results of this study, as luminal B HER2-negative subtypes of ILC were significantly more often multifocal/multicentric (28.57%, p = 0.011) and significantly more often in stage pT2 (53.57%, p = 0.03), when compared to other molecular subtypes.
