PSMA is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that is abundantly overexpressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells within the neovasculature of other solid tumours, with limited expression in most normal tissues, e.g., proximal convoluted tubules of the kidneys, establishing the basis for the selective targeting of prostate cancer lesions [7,8].
