Though the pro-inflammatory genes viz, NFk-B, TNF-α, and COX-2 genes in non-cancerous part of PC tissue patients were significantly downregulated in normal tissue of PC patients when compared to controls, the patients with pancreatic cancer had higher levels of the Erythroblastic oncogene B, ErbB2 in their unaffected pancreatic tissue. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and pachyonychia congenita.
