BRD2 and cryptorchidism: Higher FSH and comparable inhibin B levels in boys with previous unilateral cryptorchidism with either spontaneous testicular descent or orchiopexy compared with non-cryptorchid boys were found from 2 years after the onset of puberty to the end of puberty, which suggested compensated Sertoli cell and/or germ cell dysfunction and/or decreased number of these cells in unilateral cryptorchidism.
