Taken together, these findings suggested that IFN-β-responsive MICFs recruit monocytes/macrophages after myocardial infarction, and macrophages secreted IFN-β phosphorylate STAT1 in MICFs which further increases the expression of Ccl2, Ccl7, and Ccl12, forming a positive feedback loop. This evidence concerns the gene IFNB1 and myocardial infarction.
