The current data agree with the results reported by Moayeri and Oloomi (2006), who found that lipid levels were positively correlated with DM duration of DM.37 Several studies have revealed that C-reactive protein is elevated during the first year of T1DM diagnosis, and both interleukin 6 and fibrinogen levels are elevated in individuals with an average disease duration of 2 years.38–40 The current results showed that there were no significant differences in macronutrient intake between diabetic children with dyslipidemia and those with normolipidemia. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
