KAT8 and neoplasm: In addition to the NSL complex,[18] KAT8 alternatively interacts with MSL1, MSL2, and MSL3, forming the male‐specific lethal (MSL) complex.[19] Our group recently reported that KAT8 acetylates IRF1 and promotes PD‐L1 expression, which enhances tumor immune evasion.[20] In mammals, KAT8 plays critical roles in various cellular processes, including embryonic development,[21] DNA repair,[22] cell survival,[23] chromatin architecture,[24] and genome integrity.[25]
