When control dogs were subdivided into two groups according to the health status of the gums, Kruskal-Wallis test followed by Dunn`s multiple comparison tests revealed statistically significantly higher levels of IL-8, KC-like and MCP1 in serum in CG1 dogs (healthy gingiva) compared to dogs with DM (Table 2).
