Folate receptor 1 (FOLR1), was originally identified as a folic acid (FA)‐binding protein,[29, 30] has been shown to be barely expressed in normal cells but widely overexpressed in solid tumor cells, including HCC cells.[31] These studies suggest that FOLR1 may serve as a specific tumor antigen for HCC cells. The gene discussed is LINC01194; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
