These results further support the notion that BIN1 expression, at least in neurons, contributes to regulate Tau phosphorylation/propagation [15, 37] and are in agreement with several lines of evidence showing a significant association between the BIN1 locus with elevated total Tau/p-Tau in the brain and cerebrospinal fluid of AD patients [16, 38].
