Ferroptosis has been reported to be implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer [8], inflammation [9], cardiovascular disease [10], as well as osteoporosis [11], in which the osteoclasts could be stimulated by RANKL under normal oxygen concentration to increase the expression of such ferroptosis-related genes as Tfr1, SLC7A11 and GPX4 [11].
