When treating TRIM7 overexpressing GC cells with a plasmid overexpressing SLC7A11, the decreased proliferation and increased cell death caused by TRIM7 overexpression were reversed (Fig. 6c,d), together with the reversal of ferroptosis-related indices (i.e. increased cellular lipid peroxidation, MDA, and 4-HNE) (Fig. 6e–g). The gene discussed is TRIM7; the disease is gastric cancer.
