A statistically significant association was found between the rs2228611 of the DNMT1 gene and the occurrence of bladder cancer (Table 3) under the genetic models: codominant AG vs. GG (OR=2.54; 95% CI= 1.21-5.51, adj p=0.015,) and dominant AA+AG vs. GG (OR=2.24; 95% CI=1.12-4.60, adj p=0.023). The gene discussed is DNMT1; the disease is urinary bladder carcinoma.
