In males, we found hypermethylation at cg11269166 (METTL8), and in females hypomethylation at cg18096987 (VGLL4) and cg04276536 (CCDC102 A), and hypermethylation at cg11854073 (SLC9A10) to be associated with schizophrenia (Table 2; Supplementary Information Figs. S2 & S3). The gene discussed is SLC9C1; the disease is schizophrenia.
